Welcome to Goolwa

Goolwa Tourism 5214 invites you to use our tourism information to plan your visit to the Alexandrina Council region, using the historic river port of Goolwa as your base. We offer you many events and experiences, for either your day trip or, we suggest, your week in Storm Boy country.

We work with other organisations promoting the mighty River Murray, especially the Inland Rivers National Marathon Register.

Goolwa, Hindmarsh Island and Mundoo Island often feature in travel documentaries. Check out the News section for more information. Did you see the report by Griff Rhys Jones in his documentary on Australia? Click for iview option.

With the current Coronavirus challenges, there is a chance that some events may be cancelled or postponed. Some operating hours for businesses or access to accommodation and attractions may be limited, changed, or closed. Please follow the links provided for each business or event to check the current situation. In the meantime, our operators look forward to welcoming you to our region and encourage everyone to use the usual safety practices advised by the medical officers.
